"Ambedkar Jayanti 2025

What I am Saying

My brothers and sisters, Today, you came here for Ambedkar Jayanti 2025. We are not merely celebrating a date on the calendar. We are honoring the legacy of a man who dared to dream of a world free from the chains of oppression, inequality, and ignorance.

But let us ask ourselves today: Are we truly living up to his vision? Are we honoring his legacy in the way he would have wanted? Or have we allowed ourselves to be distracted, divided, and derailed from the path he so painstakingly carved for us?

Today, I write and put an article before you, not just to celebrate but to ignite a fire within you. A fire that will burn away the excuses, the distractions, and the complacency that hold us back. A fire that will light the way forward, just as Babasaheb’s teachings have done for generations.

1. Anyhow Learn, Don’t Distract, Don’t Excuse

Babasaheb Ambedkar once said“Cultivation of mind should be the ultimate aim of human existence.” He knew that education was the most powerful weapon to break the chains of caste, poverty, and inequality. He himself fought against unimaginable odds to educate himself, becoming one of the most learned minds of his time.

But what about us? Are we truly committed to learning? Or do we allow distractions—social media, petty disputes, and excuses—to pull us away from our goals? Let me tell you this: There is no excuse for ignorance. There is no excuse for failure. If Babasaheb could rise from the depths of oppression to draft the Constitution of India, what is stopping you from achieving your dreams?

Anyhow, learn. Whether it is through books, online courses, or hands-on experience, never stop learning. Do not let anyone or anything distract you from this mission. Do not fall into the trap of distractions. Do not waste time blaming others. Anyhow, learn! Find a way. If you do not have books, borrow them. If you do not have teachers, teach yourself. But do not stop! Remember, education is not just a tool for earning a livelihood; it is the key to liberation.

2. Focused on Earning Money, Don’t Indulge in Show-Off

Babasaheb Ambedkar understood the importance of economic independence. He knew that without financial freedom, social and political equality would remain a distant dream. But he also warned us against the pitfalls of materialism and vanity.

What is power? Power is not just shouting slogans. Power is not just about attending rallies. Power is economic strength. Power is financial independence.

Some of us waste our hard-earned money on showing off. Big weddings. Expensive clothes. Gold jewelry. Cars we cannot afford. This is not success! This is slavery to the wrong mindset!

Today, many of us are focused on earning money, and rightly so. But let us not fall into the trap of showmanship. Do not waste your hard-earned money on flashy cars, expensive clothes, or social media validation. Instead, invest in your future. Invest in your children’s education. Invest in businesses that create jobs and uplift your community.

Remember, wealth is not about flaunting; it is about building. Do not fall into the trap of temporary pleasure. Build a future that is real power! Build a legacy that will outlast you. Build a future where no child has to suffer the indignities that Babasaheb endured.

We need businesses, industries, and financial power. We need to support each other. If a brother or sister starts a business, we must stand with them. If someone is creating jobs, we must encourage them. Because economic freedom is real freedom.

We do not want just political rights. We want social and economic justice. We want the right to live with dignity, to work with respect, and to dream without fear.

3. They Distract You with Emotional Issues—Don’t Fall for It

My friends, let us not be naive. There are forces in this world that thrive on division and distraction. They will try to provoke you with emotional issues—disrespecting Ambedkar’s statues, making derogatory comments about reservation, or spreading hatred against our community.

Yet today, what do we see? They still try to break us. They still try to divide us. They distract us with emotional issues. They insult Ambedkar’s statues. They attack reservations. They make comments to provoke us, to make us lose our focus.

But listen to me carefully today: Ambedkar is not in statues. Ambedkar is in books! His ideas, his wisdom, his knowledge—that is what makes him immortal! If we truly respect him, we must read his works! We must follow his path!

But I urge you: Do not fall into their trap. Do not let your emotions cloud your judgment. Remember what I told you in the above line, Babasaheb Ambedkar is not in statues; he is in books, in ideas, in the Constitution, and in the hearts of those who fight for justice.

When they disrespect a statue, do not waste your energy on anger. Instead, channel that energy into reading Babasaheb’s works. Understand his philosophy. Spread his message. Let his words be your shield and sword in this battle for equality.

4. Read Babasaheb Ambedkar’s Books—He is the Lighthouse in This Dark Era

In a world filled with noise and confusion, Babasaheb’s writings are a beacon of clarity and wisdom. His books—Annihilation of CasteThe Buddha and His DhammaWho Were the Shudras?—are not just texts; they are blueprints for a better society.

Yet, how many of us have truly read them? How many of us have taken the time to understand his vision for a casteless, egalitarian society? If we are to honor his legacy, we must start by educating ourselves. Let us make a pledge today: Every member of our community will read at least one book by Babasaheb Ambedkar this year.

His words are not just for us; they are for humanity. They are a lighthouse guiding us through the darkness of casteism, inequality, and injustice. Let us not ignore this light.

5. Organise, Unite, and Rise

Babasaheb Ambedkar once said, “Educate, Agitate, Organise.” These three words are not just a slogan; they are a roadmap for our liberation.

Education alone is not enough. We must agitate—peacefully, but firmly—against injustice. We must organize—not just within our community, but with all marginalized groups who share our struggle.

Today, we are stronger than ever before. We have the power of education, the power of technology, and the power of unity. But we must use this power wisely. Let us build organizations that work for the upliftment of our people. Let us create platforms where our youth can thrive. Let us support each other in times of need.

Remember, unity is our strength. The division is our enemy.

Conclusion: The Time for Action is Now

My friends, as we celebrate Ambedkar Jayanti 2025, let us not just look back at Babasaheb’s achievements; let us look forward to the work that still needs to be done. Let us honor his legacy not with empty words, but with action.

Let us commit ourselves to learning, to building, to organizing. Let us rise above distractions and emotional traps. Let us read Babasaheb’s books and spread his message far and wide.

The road ahead is not easy, but it is not impossible. Babasaheb Ambedkar showed us that even the tallest mountains can be moved with determination and unity. Let us follow in his footsteps and continue the fight for justice, equality, and dignity.

Today, I call upon each and every one of you: Be the change you wish to see. rise, unite, and build a future worthy of Babasaheb’s dreams. Let us honor his legacy not just on Ambedkar Jayanti, but every day of our lives.

Jai Bhim! Jai Bharat!
